Summary
Heat: A career thief and a detective square off to make sure that the other does not succeed. Vincent Hanna is a brilliant L.A. cop following the trail from a deadly armed robbery to a crew headed by master thief Neil McCauley. The trouble is, McCauley's expertise is at least equal to Hanna's. Seven: A psychological thriller about two detectives on the trail of a serial killer who chooses his victims according to the seven deadly sins. Veteran Detective Sommerset researches the Seven Deadly Sins in an effort to understand the killer's modus operandi, while green Detective Mills scoffs at his efforts to get inside the mind of a killer. The Devil's advocate: Hotshot southern attorney Kevin Lomax's 64-0 case record has brought him a tempting offer from an elite New York firm that offers many opportunities. But the job Lomax accepts isn't what it seems. He finds himself on the receiving end of trouble when he learns his boss is the Devil himself, who has some treacherous plans up his sleeve for Kevin. Insomnia: Crime never sleeps and neither does the veteran LAPD homicide detective invited to Nightmute, Alaska to head a murder investigation there. He finds the investigation disrupted by an ever-shining midnight sun that wreaks sleep-depriving havoc on his body clock. As his consciousness becomes more unstable, he is nagged by a sense of personal guilt over a second crime that might just be real
